Without any warning, the next Air Jordan sneaker in Michael Jordan’s iconic signature line has leaked.

Dallas Wings star forward and Jordan athlete Satou Sabally went on social media moments ago to share a first look at what’s believed to be the Air Jordan 36. Much like some of the recent Air Jordan performance models, the purported Jordan 36 looks to borrow design cues from the first run of Air Jordans as it appears to feature a tongue detail that’s comparable to the Jordan 6. The Eclipse Plate that was featured on the midsole of the two previous models also seems to be making its return on this upcoming silhouette, as it’s briefly shown at the midfoot.

The pair previewed by Sabally wears a predominantly purple color scheme combined with vibrant orange accents, which could possibly one of her player-exclusive colorways.

As of now, Jordan Brand has yet to officially unveil the Air Jordan 36, but expect to hear more about the forthcoming model soon.

UPDATE (05/25): After a quick glimpse yesterday, we now have the best look yet at the upcoming Air Jordan 36. The shoes are being worn tonight by Jayson Tatum as the Boston Celtics look to rebound against the Brooklyn Nets in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Round 1 match up. Check back soon for more info including tech specs and release date details.

UPDATE (08/16): Jordan Brand has officially unveiled the next sneaker to Michael Jordan’s signature line—the Air Jordan 36.

According to the brand, it has taken the design elements that worked well on both the Air Jordan 34 and 35 to create the latest model. This starts with a leno-weave upper which is durable, lightweight, and adapts to various foot shapes. The Jordan 36 will also feature the most Zoom Air cushioning that Jordan Brand has ever put into a signature shoe including a full-length Zoom Air Strobel unit stitched directly to the upper while sitting above another forefoot Zoom Air unit for additional responsiveness. The Eclipse Plate used on the previous two Air Jordan models is featured once again on this shoe to help reduce weight and enhance the shoe’s cushioning.

The Air Jordan 36 will make its retail debut in the “Glory” colorway at select Jordan Brand retailers starting today followed by the player-exclusive “Guo Ailun” and “Kia Nurse” styles releasing tomorrow in Greater China and Canada, respectively. Jayson Tatum’s PE makeup is launching in the states on Aug. 21 while Rui Hachimura’s pair will be available in Asia and Latin America on Aug. 22, and Luka Doncic’s pair will arrive on Sept. 4. Rounding out the releases is the purple-based “First Light” colorway releasing globally on Sept. 2 followed by the “Psychic Energy” dropping on Sept. 16.
